2020 Ford F-150 Lineup at Bill Fick Ford

The F-150 is one of the mainstays of the truck market and it is an iconic Ford vehicle. Its reputation is well-earned, as the F-150 consistently scores top marks from reviewers as well as customers. The new 2020 model lives up to that standard, adding on more optional engines and some other touches that give the truck enhanced performance. There's a reason that the new F-150 is so popular, and that's because it simply outperforms all other full-sized trucks. If you need a truck of those dimensions in the Huntsville, TX area you simply can't do any better than the F-150.

Interior Space

The customization for the F-150 is somewhat complex. There are three sizes of cab and three different lengths of bed, which are not all compatible in all trim levels. The first cab size is Regular, which seats three people in one row. Next is the SuperCab, which adds on a second row for a total of six spots.

The rear row has less room than the front row, but they're enough areas on the floor for some cargo like toolboxes. The biggest cab is called the SuperCrew. The SuperCrew also has two rows and sits six people but has significantly more legroom and interior space. After choosing your cab you can select a bed length.

The small 5.5-footbed is only compatible with SuperCab models and probably isn't large enough for most applications. The medium bed is 6.5 feet long and you can pair it with any cab, providing a balance of flexibility and space. The biggest bed is 8 feet long. It can't be paired with the SuperCrew cab. Make sure that the combination of cab and bed you want will work within your parking constraints.

Engine/Fuel Performance

There are six different engines for the F-150, although no trim level has all of them available. The most you'll have to choose from is four on the Lariat trim. All of them deliver good performance, although a few are a major step up in terms of acceleration and power. The entry-level engine is a V6 rated for 290 horsepower.

Above that comes a pair of EcoBoost-enabled V6 models rated for 325 and 375 horsepower. The 375 model is turbocharged and packs a real kick. Next is a V8 rated for 395 horsepower, another option that adds noticeably better power. The engine with the best performance is a big 450-horsepower V6 that you can only find on the two top trims, where it's the standard engine. It is by far the most powerful engine for the F-150. Lastly, there is a turbo-diesel with 250 horsepower.

Interior Features: Tech and Safety

Technology isn't the first thing you think of when it comes to a new truck, but the various trims of the F-150 are quite cutting-edge. Starting with the Lariat, the list of standard and basic features keeps expanding as you go up the trim levels. The Limited has as much advanced automation and sensory tools as any luxury vehicle on the road today, showing that Ford is willing to make sure the F-150 is more than just a workhorse if you want more out of it. That's a nice touch for making it a personal daily driver in Huntsville, TX. The active safety tools are quite competitive although some of them are optional.

The new F-150 makes it clear that Ford is on top for a reason-- they keep adding more and more features to the car while keeping its price affordable and maintaining its class-leading tow and cargo capabilities.
