Ford Super Duty trucks are powered by a trio of powertrains, as both the Ford F-250 and Ford F-350 offer the following V8 engines:
Despite having the same V8 engine options, the Ford F-350 has a leg up in the towing and payload departments. The Ford F-350 has a maximum towing capacity of 32,000 pounds, nearly doubling the Ford F-250's maximum towing rating of 18,500 pounds. Enjoy a max payload rating of 7,640 pounds behind the wheel of the Ford F-350, compared to the Ford F-250's 4,270-pound max payload rating.
The difference in towing capacities stems from the Ford F-350's larger rear block. A specifically designed towing-tuned suspension with a tighter rear spring and a reinforced midsection also boost the Ford F-350's towing prowess.
Like powertrains, these Ford Super Duty trucks mirror each other in cab sizes and truck bed lengths. College Station drivers can equip their Ford F-250 or F-350 with a 6.75-foot truck bed or an 8-foot bed. Cab sizes for each pickup include a Regular Cab, Super Cab, and Crew Cab. The Ford F-350, which sports dual rear wheels, is slightly larger and more muscular. Each Ford Super Duty truck offers the same trim levels and options:
Both the Ford F-250 and F-350 make pulling large trailers safer and easier for Huntsville, TX motorists. They can tow with ease in Houston metro traffic thanks to an available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert. This enhanced safety feature supports trailers up to 33 feet long. For additional safety, Conroe drivers also can enjoy Trailer Sway Control, Lane-Keeping Alert with Driver Alert Mode, and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning.
Each Ford Super Duty truck provides available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 110-volt outlet, navigation, and satellite radio.
They share the same cab designs, bed sizes, trim levels, and V8 engines. That's why it all comes down to how much you plan on towing and hauling from Huntsville to Houston. The Ford F-250 is slightly smaller and more economical but has been engineered for hauling. Some Livingston drivers may love the larger Ford F-350, which touts higher payload and towing capacity ratings and can be used as more of a commercial truck.
You can't go wrong with either Ford Super Duty pickup! We invite you to Bill Fick Ford to test drive a new Ford F-250 or Ford F-350 at your earliest convenience.
