Performance
With the Ford F-250 Super Duty, you have three engine options to choose from with an all-new 7.3L V8 gasoline option and the redesigned 6.7 Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel. Both engine options provide you with best-in-class power for both gasoline and diesel respectively.
The 7.3L OHV PFI V8 provides you with 430 horsepower and up to 475 pound-ft of torque to power this heavy-duty pickup. It’s designed to help optimize the toque at the low-end while also working to provide you with additional power when you need it. A cast-iron engine block adds to its durability and features a forged-steel crankshaft as well.
The redesigned V8 Turbo Diesel has a new 36,000-psi fuel-injection system that helps improve its performance over previous generations to put out up to 475 horsepower and up to 1,050 pound-ft of torque. Forged-steel pistons along with a stronger engine block and other components help it handle this increase in performance.
Durability
A truck is only as strong as its frame and with the F-250 Super Duty, you have a high-strength steel frame that’s reinforced by 10 cross members to provide you with a stiffer design compared to previous generations. This foundation provides the F-250 with its impressive payload and towing ratings.
Another feature of the F-250 Super Duty is its high-strength aluminum-alloy body. While previous generations used a steel body, the newly designed structure provides some weight-saving benefits while also maintaining strength. It also provides an added benefit of being resistant to rust and dents as well.
Design
The grille on the F-250 Super Duty adds to the look of this heavy-duty pickup truck while also improving its performance. The front grille has been designed to provide improved airflow while also working to keep the engine cool as well.
You have six different trims to choose from including the F-250 XL, XLT, LARIAT, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Each of these has different features and design options such as wheels, standard driver-assist options, and equipped engines.
Safety
Features such as the Blind Spot Information System come equipped with Trailer Coverage to help keep you aware on the road even when you’re towing a conventional trailer. The system is designed to work with trailers up to 33 feet long and will warn you when there are vehicles in your blind spots.
Other features such as the Lane Keeping Alert makes use of a camera mounted in the windshield. It is designed to work both during the day and night and will detect when you start to drift from your lane.
