The full trim lineup of the 2023 Ford Explorer trim lineup includes XLT, ST-Line, Limited, Timberline, ST, King Ranch, and Platinum.
Performance
The Ford Explorer comes standard with a 2.3-liter 4-cylidner engine that makes 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Stepping to a higher trim level comes with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that makes 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid version of the Explorer comes with a 3.3-liter V6 that makes 318 horsepower. Additional performance features can be had by opting for the Timberline or ST trims. The Timberline trim comes with off-road focused features, like standard all-wheel drive, all-terrain tires, a specialized suspension, limited slip rear differential, underbody skidplates, front tow hooks, and a trailer tow package. The ST trim gets a sport suspension, paddle shifters, and a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine (400 horsepower).
