Which powertrain you get under the hood of your SUV depends on which trim level you choose. There are six options altogether, which increase in terms of features and power as you move through the lineup. The roster includes:

This system is rated for 300 horsepower, 310 pound-feet of torque, and it comes with rear-wheel drive standard, with all-wheel drive is also available. This engine is the sole powertrain for the first three models in the lineup - the base Explorer, XLT, and Limited.
As indicated by its name. the Explorer Limited Hybrid comes powered by an efficient and cutting-edge hybrid engine. A recent addition to the Explorer lineup, this system is comprised of a 3.3-liter V6 engine, which works in conjunction with an electrical motor to produce a combined 318 horsepower.
As the sportier Explorer model, the ST packs a punch and delivers a welcomed boost in power. It comes standard with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which is rated for 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque.
Finally, at the top of the lineup, the Explorer Platinum encompasses everything Navasota, TX drivers love about this SUV. It gets all the features and amenities you want standard, and it comes powered by the same turbocharged V6 as the ST model. However, here it's tuned for refinement and cushiness, with the V6 smoothed out and rated for 365 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.
Interior Space and Design

The Explorer comes with three rows of seating standard, with configurations available to accommodate either six or seven people, depending on your needs.

Look for more than 18 cubic feet of cargo storage available with all three rows of seats in place and look forward to up to 87.8 cubic feet depending on how you fold the second and third rows.
