When the time comes to shop for a new pickup truck for your heavy-duty hauling and towing duties, you could research options and take several different models for test drives in the Huntsville area, or you could come straight to Bill Fick Ford in Huntsville. We're the #1 Super Duty dealer in the nation - "AND THAT'S NO BULL!"

Our collection of impressive, powerful Ford trucks is unmatched in the area. Ford is legendary for the power and utility they put into every vehicle they make, and we're sure there's an F Series Super Duty in our inventory that will more than meet your needs.

To demonstrate the superiority of our Ford models over the competition, we've researched one of our popular models, the F-250 Super Duty, against the competing pickup from Chevrolet. Read on to learn more about what makes the Ford F-250 a great choice for you.

The Ford F-250 Super Duty vs. the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

  • Interior passenger space. A backseat is optional with both pickup trucks, as each one has three distinct cab style options you can choose from. Both the extended double cab and the four-door crew cab that are available for these two models give a backseat and space for up to six people. However, your backseat passengers will be more comfortable in the Ford F-250 than they would be in the Chevy Silverado 2500.
Our Ford pickup has more elbow room and shoulder room to stretch out in for both front seat and backseat passengers, and it has more legroom and headroom in the rear than the Chevy, especially the roomy crew cab style.

  • Exterior design. As mentioned, both heavy-duty pickups allow you to choose the style of your truck. There are three cab styles available for both, as well as different bed length options. But, regardless of which style and bed you choose, the Ford F-150 is a more user-friendly pickup, thanks to its streamlined appearance and unbeatable visibility.
Sit inside the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, or even just look at a picture of one, and you'll notice the difference right away.

The hood the Silverado 2500 is designed to stand out, and its rounder appearance that stands higher than the F-250 hood, interferes with a clear view of the road ahead. The F-250, on the other hand, has more than eight inches of ground clearance, giving drivers a commanding view of the road, and its hood is sleek and stylish, and unobtrusive for the driver.

  • Engine options and power. Ford knows its drivers like choices, and they deliver with the Ford F-250 Super Duty. This pickup has three impressive engines you can choose from, depending on which trim level you go for.
The lineup starts with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers 385 horsepower and 430 pound of torque, an optional 7.3-liter V8 with 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, and a range-topping, turbocharged diesel V8 engine that offers 475 horsepower and an astounding, powerful, 1,050 pound-feet of torque. The Silverado 2500, on the other hand, has just two engine options, neither of which have as much oomph, or impressive torque, as the two top F-250 engines.

  • Utility. Equipped with the diesel engine, as is with conventional settings and trailering capabilities, the Ford can tow up to 18,000 pounds, with more available when configured for fifth-wheel capabilities. The Silverado 2500, on the other hand, tows just 14,500 pounds with conventional settings, earning up to 18,500 with a fifth-wheel configuration.
